Philly was underweight, full of parasites, and very scared when he was found roaming the streets in North Dayton. His temp foster, the one who found him, took him to Oakview Veterinary Hospital where he was treated for intestinal parasites, vaccinated, and neutered.
He desperately needs a permanent home as his foster care is temporary. He now weighs about 67 pounds and is approximately 2 years old. Despite his difficult time on the street, he has never shown any aggression and loves his belly rubs. He understands “sit” and “down,” and walks well on a leash.
When he was first rescued, he was too afraid to stray too far from his foster mom. He needs a home without cats or small dogs. It’s possible he has been abused as he is very head shy. Please spread the word to your friends and family to help him find a loving home.
